FAQs
How much are your workshops?
Workshops start at £30 for a simple silver stacking ring. The prices depend on what you want to make on the day, the thickness of silver you choose and the weight of your item.
What can I make in the workshops?
There are so many things you can make in the workshops. As a beginner you can come and make a bangle, stacking ring, earrings or pendant. Bracelets with charms, cuff bangles, the list is endless. If you would like inspiration take a look at our ‘student’s work’ section where you will find lots of inspiration.
When do you hold your workshops?
We hold our workshops every day of the week usually starting from 10am. We will sometimes work with you and start later or early afternoon if you would prefer but we do not work evenings.
How long do workshops last?
It all depends on what you choose to make and the number of people in the workshop that day. Usually you will be around 3 hours but could be longer if making something more complicated.
Do you take children in the workshop?
Yes we do. Children 6 and over are welcome to come and make something in the workshop but anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Please do not bring young children or babies in to the workshop when you come to make something, it is not a suitable environment for little ears.
Why has my jewellery tarnished?
Silver jewellery does tarnish from time to time. This can be for many reasons but it can be cleaned up so don’t worry. In order to avoid unnecessary tarnish, make sure you remove your jewellery before spraying perfume, lotions, hairspray, makeup as all of these can tarnish your silver. Store jewellery away from wood. Consider storing your jewellery with Silica packs to soak up moisture.
One of the best ways to keep your jewellery from tarnishing is to wear it often as opposed to keeping it in a jewellery box. Remove during household chores as chemicals can tarnish your silver. Sometimes sunlight can cause your silver to tarnish so remove before going to the beach.
